Oregon is a no-fault divorce state. A dissolution is based on irreconcilable differences, and fault generally is not used to divide property or determine spousal support (ORS 107.036).
An Oregon divorce judgment may address custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, and property division, depending on the facts of the case (ORS 107.105).

What is included in the free case evaluation?
A non-attorney intake coordinator asks for basic information about the parties, location, deadlines, and type of case. The purpose is to check for conflicts and decide whether the matter may be a fit for Romano Law.
Will I receive legal advice during the free evaluation?
No. The free case evaluation is an intake screening, not an attorney consultation. Legal advice, case strategy, fees, and possible representation are discussed only if a paid attorney consultation is scheduled.
Is Oregon a no-fault divorce state?
Yes. Oregon dissolutions are based on irreconcilable differences, and the doctrines of fault are abolished in dissolution cases. Fault generally is not considered when dividing property or setting spousal support (ORS 107.036).
How does an Oregon court decide child custody?
The court gives primary consideration to the child’s best interests and welfare and considers the factors listed in ORS 107.137. Oregon law does not allow a custody preference based solely on a parent’s gender.
Does Romano Law represent both men and women?
